About Us Page

This is our about us page. Some amendments and changes have been done to this page since it was last uploaded. This page is quite simple.

This is the About Hair/Hair History page. This page links to the other pages that i have talked about and uploaded below. Clicking any of the animated design/button on the page will take the user/audience to that particular linked page.

This page also links to the about hair/hair history page. From looking at all the images of the different racial hair types, one could evidently see the difference that each of them have. Each page of the links contains a few information on why the particular is different, the charactersitics of such hair and the measures that can be taken to keep the hair from damage while keeping it healthly.

This is another link to the hair history/about hair page. This page demonstrate also the different types of hair that exist in the Asian race and how they look different in styles, texture and length to that of the African hair and the Caucasian hair.

Continuous work on our first page

This is our first page that we created for our site. However, changes have been made to the page since we first created it. We thought more designs and editing needed to be done to the page to make it more interactive. So we implemented an animated talkie person and some other things. Below is the changes made to this page:

Not much changes seems to have been done on this page but this is not our final first page as more work has been carried out on the final page. This page will be revealed when we present it to the class. So look out for it.

The images on the pages helps to make the distinction between the different racial hair types more clearer.

videos

I created a video where i was treating my own hair. I did come up with a problem with my camera half way through but i decided to continue on my phone camera. If you would like to see video's with people washing their hair on their own, like what i did, go to you tube. There are some very interesting ways to wash your own hair.

Project

You guys were doing very well at the moment with our project. Justo to let you know i changed all the fonts on all pages as well as the typo's that were in the project. Additionally as i am the only one with flash 8 i don't mind being the one to look at every seen and clear it up a little. All the buttons are created along with the audio. I just need to find a way to play the audio properly with an action attached to it. When i have figured this out i will get back to you.

Just to let u know, none on the washing and treating hair posts that i published are copyright. I actually devised all the tips on hair myself as i am a hair care care consultant.

The project

Hi Dorcas, thanks for putting up the idea about the forum i told you about two weeks ago, the only problem is that realistically i don't think we can accomplish this. What we could do, however, is create a page where members of the public could post about their hair care as well as the state of their hair at the moment. This would allow different viewers to have a better idea of how to look after their hair. longhaircareforums.com is a website i have been very inspired by. The things different members of the public post about their hair care are insparational but the only problem is the time, if we wanted to do something similar. However, if we all come together and sought out how and where the forum will be published on the page, will be a bit better. Have a look at fotki.com and search natural hair or hair care. I was so inspired that i had to create my own blogspot.

Additional Designs

In addition to what the teacher was teling us in the lesson, i think it will also be very useful for us to implement little things like links, contact us and so. We might think those things are not important, but adding them to our website will enhance its interactivity.

The audience or user will also be able to find links if they become more interested in the information on the site and therefore want to research into depth on the topic-as the teacher said, we will be linked to the wider world of information.

We should also find time to meet to discuss what we have done so far, what can be done to improve it and if anyone is stuck or having difficulties in carrying out a particular design or page, we can be able to offer ideas and support. Doing these things will help us to achieve what we are doing more effectively and also be able to finish on time before the presentation and submission deadline.

WHY DO PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT RACE HAVE DIFFERENT HAIR TYPES? FIND OUT!!!!!!

As people from different decent and origins, we have different hair as a result of our race. While researching on the topic on why we have racially different hair types, i came across a number of information and resources that explained why we have these different hair types. It also explained the characteristics of these hairs and the steps and measures that can be taken to care for the hair.
